What month is it again?! It would appear that the last few months have gotten away from me. Both boys went to school this year. MJ is adjusting pretty well to PreK (or p-class as he calls it) and Gabe is enjoying the benefits of “looping” with his 1st grade teacher for 2nd grade. Work has finally somewhat slowed down for David and I since UCO is a few weeks into the fall semester. I am starting to really feel like I can breathe and think straight again. This weekend I sat down and made a true grocery list and searched through Pinterest for inspiration on what to cook. Here are a few things that caught my eye!
As I’ve mentioned before, nobody in my house eats great. David’s favorite foods are “ballpark foods” (his words not mine) and the boys love anything with preservatives (read: frozen or prepackaged foods). I, on the other hand, love all food. A new system that we are incorporating into our household gives everyone options. Each person will get to choose dinner for 1 night. The other 3 nights will be leftovers, take-out, or easy dinners like sandwiches or cereal. Here are a few things I’ve picked out for my nights.
Football season has finally started! We have a family tradition of tailgating almost every home game in Stillwater and cheering on the OSU Cowboys. If you’ve ever tailgated before, you know that you will end up at the tailgate pretty much all day. Luckily, I’ve found some new recipes to try on our hungry tailgate friends!
Sausage Cheese Balls (maybe including gravy in the crockpot! YUMM)
I know I’m not alone in my love for entertaining around this time of year. Between movie nights, pumpkin carvings, trick-or-treating, and the love of autumn there is always something to go to for some fun. I found some great recipes to either prepare or take to any party!
Pumpkin Stuffed With Everything Good – A friend made this last year and I’ve been dying to make one myself!
